Lyra

Lyra was a stringed instrument and the one who played it, used a kind of pick to accompany the song and poems' dictions.

According to mythology Hermes made the first lyra from the shell of a huge turtle, and dressed it with animal's leather and antelope's horns. We usually relate lyra with Phoebus value of balance and modesty and the ecstasy of Dionysian ceremonies.
